Home / Shower hoses

Shower hoses, where the spec is the whole product.

A hose looks identical in six supplier catalogues and behaves nothing alike in a bathroom. Inner tube, braid, crimp and nut material are what a distributor is really buying — so they are printed on every quotation we send.

Construction

Two builds, chosen by shelf price and by market.

DL

Double-lock

Two crimped collars lock the braid and tube to the nut. Higher pull-off strength, the build most European and North American buyers specify. Slightly heavier, slightly more expensive.

SB

Smooth bore

Internal bore stays round under bending, so flow drops less at low pressure. Suited to rain heads and low-pressure systems where the customer notices a weak spray.

RC

Retractable

Coil or spring-retract versions for hotel bathrooms. Higher unit cost, but a strong project line because the buyer is fitting hundreds of rooms at once.

Specification

Standard build, line by line.

Everything here is confirmed per model. If you need a figure that is not listed, we measure the sample and send it back rather than answer from memory.

Buying notes

Four failure points worth checking before you order.

01

Nut material, not nut plating

Plated zinc nuts cost less and fail at the thread after a few years of hot water. Brass or stainless costs a few cents more per unit and removes the complaint.

02

PVC versus EPDM

PVC is cheaper and goes brittle with heat cycling. If the end customer runs 65 °C water daily, EPDM is the honest specification even though the unit price is higher.

03

Crimp quality decides the leak

A hose rarely splits first; the collar pulls loose. Double-lock costs marginally more and is what a warranty claim is usually about.

Certification

Documents per model, not per family.

Hoses in the US follow ASME A112.18.6 & CSA B125.6; in the EU, EN 1113. We send the certificate that names the model you are buying. If a model has no certificate, we say so before you place the order — a document for a sister model is not a substitute.
